About Christie Thebault

To learn different aspects of the public relations industry, Christie Thebault has worked in a series of internships at PR firms, event planning companies, and non-profit organizations. During a recent internship, she worked for HL Group, a New York City company that represents many well-known brands in the fashion, travel and hospitality, retail, interior design, and consumer goods industries. In this capacity, Christie Thebault gained on-the-job training in the public relations business by monitoring accounts and making daily reports,  planning meetings, updating contact lists, developing recaps and agendas, and maintaining subscriptions.

After completing her internship at HL Group, Christie Thebault served for five months as a Public Relations Intern at Connections Public Relations in Westport, Connecticut, where she coordinated media lists, planned and worked at events, and wrote press releases to support events and generate news about the company’s clients. During this same period, Thebault interned with Inclusion Teaming, a non-profit also located in Westport that helps people embrace diversity and appreciate each other’s differences. Here she handled administrative tasks and devised press releases as well as grant proposals.

A graduate of Fairfield University in Connecticut with a B.A. in Communication, Christie Thebault dedicates her efforts to several charitable causes, such as The Adeona Foundation, LLC, and the Covenant House, an organization that has provided services to homeless and at-risk youths in New Jersey since 1989. She also volunteered at a soup kitchen while attending Fairfield University. During her free time, Thebault takes pleasure in playing golf and tennis, as well as skiing and riding horses.
